Grew up in Shoreview, went to school in Grand Rapids, now school in Crookston. Work in Grand Marais during the fire season. Eff the cities. nuff said!

Well, don't know if i qualify for this thread, as i'm not from, or living in MN, but spend a great deal of my free time there. I never tire of the drive on the north shore of Superior, and the inland northland i've only begun exploring, Ely, Virginia, Superior National Forest, etc.

For many years now, about 90% of the spruce, fir and aspen logs and pulp i cut are exported to a sawmill in Grand Marais, and a fiberboard plant in Two Harbors, and occasionally some pulp heads all the way down to Cloquet.

I live 15 miles into Ontario a mile off hwy 61, and have been logging on a 1200 acre block 10 miles from the border right on "61". Been working that block for the last 13 years, with a couple away to clean up 400 acres of blowdown at my home property. Figure i've got another 3-4 years there, then it'll be prime hunting country for the next 60 years.

you talking about Hedstrom Lumber Company eh?

add another Minnesotan. I grew up in Park Rapids, and fortunately (or unfortunately) am good at the whole computer thing, so I live in Lino Lakes. I own 20 acres east of Sandstone to get outta dodge to on the weekends :)

I'll wave on the way to work tomorrow! I live across the river, south of Osceola, and work in Circle Pines.

myzamboni - thanks for posting. I grew up in chisholm so I've attended the nationality days quite a few times. I now live in western, mn and don't get up to the range very often.

Thanks again for posting and its great your still able to vacation up there.

I think I asked you before but I cant remember the answer. I know several Corradi's from Chisholm, Any I might know that graduated around 2006? I grew up and live in Hibbing and Side Lake, I can almost guarantee we've either met or know relatives

No, unfortunately I have a job. I don't think putting in time at Bill's could be considered work, even if they did pay me. It's on the "dream job" list.
I work at BERMO, just a 1/4 mile up from Fleet Farm, setting up metal stamping presses.

For those that don't know Bill's, click HERE

Yep, I live in MN too. Grew up in Coon Rapids, currently live in Andover. Work all over the twin cities (traveling carpenter).

I live in Harris,MN. Along with 842 other people. Nice being in a small town. I work in Wyoming,MN and my wife works in Eden prarie. I do alot of fishing around the area here. Rush lake in the winter, tip-ups for northerns. I am originally from Pine city, I still get up there fishing on cross lake quite a bit durring the summer. Anyone do any gtg's here in MN? I know of the one over in cheese land with the guys on the west side but I was just wondering if anyone does anything in MN. Maybe we should.

wow....just ran into this thread...lost of neighbors aboard this forum...Aitkin Co...home to just 1 stop light...ya know with all 3 colors.I live in greater downtown palisade...2 block off of the Mississippi.
We have about 368 lakes in our county and 600 miles of rivers.70 miles west is the big city of Duluth or 50 miles west is Brainerd...45 miles north is Grand Rapids and Mpls is south 125 miles.

Palisade is a quite little town with a pop of a little over 130 people. We do have a post office,a couple cafes and a muni that offers on/off sale...2 gas stations and a couple churches and an elementary school up to 4th grade.

Good hunting and fishing abound in our area.

Woodyman had one two autumns ago at his place. If memory serves, it was between St. Cloud and Princeton. Am I remembering the location right?

We had a great early ice pike season up here. My clients and I totaled 16 pike over 36 inches, with 42 the longest. Now it's time for lake trout season! :D

This winter? General inland Minnesota laker opener is this coming Saturday. Did you go into the BWCAW or Canada? I've made two trips into Canada so far this winter, and man is that a great time!
