Ok, thats huge, the fact that they had to roll it onto the trailer with two dozers is crazy.

Sorry Ron, only just saw this response. That's a Landrover. The Poms can keep the bloody things, lol! The fella who drives the thing has thick skin to put up with the ribbin he gets.
This is the middle of summer and the tracks fitted are because the terrain so steep it's the only way to get traction. This was a private plantation and we had access to all the beaut hardwood we could be bothered with.

Freek wheres the picture of the truck after the tractor ran it over?
No first hand pic's just a lot of yelling, wasn't his fault the clutch linkage broke. Got r up the drivers side fender straight onto the cab. Flattened it bad and bent the frame to the ground, salvaged the drive line and the box. Here's the rest.....

that looks fake almost like it should be on one of those tiny scale layouts, i would like to see the video of that truck driving out of there. priceless.
Some decent tires might help....
It's real. There are more pictures in that series and they show the truck being pulled and pushed. Look at the tow bridle on the front bumper.
That was a common load in those days. There was usually nothing that would lift a log that heavy so they'd cut a ramp with the dozer, back the truck down real close alongside the ramp, and roll the log on. No big deal.
I am not sure there is a log loader made that can pickup trees that big unless we start logging Pandora to justify building them
