Hello All,

I have been working now for a few months with the ms150 and i find it to be a very comfortable saw in the tree. Sure it misses the punch of a 200t but weight and size wise it is ideal. Perfect for the small trimming jobs.

The fact that the saw is so light also makes it more dangerous. I have found my self holding it in al kinds of positions, some of them where you really do no want a running chainsaw...

However i have the feeling the saw runs a little under her optimal Rpm. And as it has one of those new carbs with a child-lock on it there is not much to do.

Does some one have experience with turning up the H on such a carburator?

Thanks,

Maarten

I don't know. As far as i can find out is that saws with c-m are m-tronic. But what the TC-E stands for on the 150 who knows?

I hope you are right. Specs show about 3 lbs lighter than a 200t. Awesome!

Well it starts really easy, for me one of the main attractions. But dont get your hopes up high. This is not a powerful saw, it does not run well when cold and cools down again in minutes.

I recall my dealer talking about them being very expensive. Does anyone know the price of them for the US?

$429.99 I believe. Had one in my hands today. it is a nice little saw.

The saw has hit the UK, it looks like something you would hang off your keyring but the guys over here are rating this saw highly.

Light in weight and good for light work - has a very small narow kerf chain and bar so the power doesn't get wasted - all round good saw is the first opinion!

Next comes wringing more power out of one:msp_biggrin:

Been using a friends for couple of days and surprised at the ease in starting, power and torque (didn't expect any like a pos echo or 192) and it idles so nicely. Wonder if you can put an even shorter carver's bar than what is stock (14 to 12?) for maybe a little savings and more power? I like it but if not running, starting, cutting or idling just perfect it may need a parachute or be doomed imo. In other words...can it hang? I may buy one this week.

Friend uncle has new 150 but I'm not sure if its top handle version. He brought it after i showed him my dolmar ps-222 th. I was advising him to get dolmar, even showed him the way to the dealer then he said "I'll get more trusted brand".
Anyway bouth are perfectly balanced and you can work with it for hours- perfect for apple tree prunning. With 1/4' pitch and 0.043 kerf it leaves you speachless.
With muf mod and advanced timing it wont become 201t but pretty damn close.
After using it the 201 will just feel heavy XD

Brad did show a video of a stage one MS 150 T C-E before and after modding. I'm happy with my MS 192 T C-E, but if I were shopping again I'd definitely pick up the '150!

By the way, Congrats on the new saw!
