what about a 24'' and/or 28'' for a Poulan Pro 655Bp? The bar that came on it from Randy is 1) impractical length for whatever I might get into, and 2) a minty Poulan Pro bar that I would just as soon not use.

this is what I found online. interested in 24-28. 24 preferred.
That poulan is a d009 or large husky mount.
The one I had a normal large husky mount fit just fine with no mods.
