I used Johnson's Paste Wax but I only used a rag and buffed it up for a short amount of time. I'm sure if I used a buffing wheel it would look much better.

Is this pulled and put in just like any other seal or some special procedure needed?
Don't know. It's thicker and not like a normal seal.

I'm just waiting on a clutch removal tool, I been putting off getting one for a while now.
get an old large socket.... and grind on it till it fits... like this:

The 385/390 PTO bearing and seal is no different from many other saws. The seal presses into the outer race and seals against the inner race.

Does anyone know if the bearing part number 503251301 is the bearing and seals combo? The IPL has it listed as bearing but it looks like in the picture it includes both. Also, there is a choice between two different IPL's, I think one is an EPA version and the other isn't, does it matter which one I order from?
503251301 is the only thing you need to order.... again, try Brodner power equipment.... they had it at $37.39

oh, and in the parts diagrams, it looks like the seal covers the bearings outer race like on a husky 350 ... it does not. the seal is integral between the inner and outer race more similar to a regular sealed bearing. its just sealed only on one side. what you see on your unit there is the same as part #503251301
