I just ordered a kit from a place I use it should be here any day. I don't find it hard to get the kits I have needed so far at least. I have read that some in the know like the Walbro better but you cannot argue with the bigger size tilly carb. That little bit bigger carb makes working on them very easy.
I took the carb apart to look it over inside, thinking I had a kit for it ,well when I took off the metering side gasket and diaphragm off it left most of the gasket stuck to the body. Then just before I scraped the stuck on remains off the body , I discovered I did not have a kit.
Now I really wanted to hear her run so I put the torn gasket back on put her back together and 2 pulls and a little prime later and she sat on the bench idling. That carb was very forgiving ! ha ha.

Took a picture of this 2-page ID chart hoping it would be easier to read than the scanned version.
Going by your bore measurement and pics of your cylinder shape and coil.
pre-1978 points ignition
1-7/8", 47.6mm bore

looks like R420 it is
Thank you for the fantastic info. Mike

info that is what I need more of I guess...No matter how much I try sometimes I still lack the info I should know by now. I bought some saws the other day 2 stihl 28's, PP-260-le, and Partner 400 hoping to sell em all I guess. I bought the Stihl's to sell but what I really wanted was the "el-cheapo Poulan Pro 260" but the piston is fried. I did not know that till I tried to start it at home.
The guy I bought them from was an older gentleman and he swore to me the stihl ,partner and Poulan all ran so like a shmuck I believed him. I should have known all his tools were strewn all over the place crappy shop just the tell tale signs that should have warned me. The stihl runs but needs a few very small items the other stihl is a parts saw and I knew that. The Partner did not have the original switch and is missing the air filter. I took him at his word and he took me. Oh well live an learn always trust your gut I guess. I knew I needed to look under the hood I even took tools. But being an older guy I trusted him.

I may have a need for a partner 400 bar oil cap. If the carb i bought solves the flooding issue that is. If it does then i would then try to sell the saw and the oil cap has been ruined and leaks. If you have one and want to sell it pm me. Like i said if i get the flooding issue solved. I will put the carb on this weekend and see what happens.. I dont expect it for free but this is the place to look for one i think. Thanks Jeff

partner s65 wrist pin. Need one clip. Also need 1 starter pawl. I dont know how I lost the clip, but I looked for an hour with a flashlight lol. I have ocd and I'm gonna go nuts:dizzy:. Please help:)
I posted this in the chainsaw thread too. thanks

S65 crossover parts. I know theres got to be other saws that are the same. Made by poulan, electrolux etc. At least I would assume that there were cross over parts/parts sharing between brands and model # changes. I just know someone smarter than me knows what they are. LOL. I have searched and read with no luck. In case you didnt know, there are alot of posts in this forum. I mean one could literally read forever. I dont have that much time:laugh: Also do they make an 8 tooth spur sprocket for this saw? I posted this in the chainsaw thread also. Thanks

It is called a banjo type fitting. Some older Echo saws used a banjo fittings on the oiler lines but would be too small.

I think I would try a large hydraulic supply house, they may have a small one for hyd lines you might be able to use, but it would probably be steel.

If not you might be able to fabricate one from steel tubing with a steel tube/barb braised to it.
