Both mine have been fine but most issues seem to turn up when clowns that have no idea cut and shut accsories in. One alt on the ute and a starter in the 15 plus years I've had it and I don't doubt they were most likely original. The wagon I haven't had to touch. Most other issues get blown right to **** by **** heads with no idea and believe every thing thre told normally fith hand from a mates cousins dog washers sisters mum who saw a land rover once. If the rubbish banded around was half true the **** would never leave the driveway

Must be a lot parked up then, I worked in the Great Dividing Range 1977-2oo8 and live in its shadow now, see other brand 4wds at about 500.1

I'd have a 110 ute, or an old p76/Salisbury diff leafy.
But that doesn't narrow it down much, I've even owned a Peugeot.

I like my older toyotas but let's face it, they're not what they used to be. More and more of the good old Jap stuff is now getting made in thailand and other places. I reckon I'd buy a land rover over something made in Thailand, if they're still made in the UK which I'm assuming they are.

Almost bought a 661 today without the bar or chain for $1700, but then dropped into Klika and had a good look at those diesel 50t splitters....

Looks like you have to be careful of the castings on the axe head.....a few cases of the uprights breaking off the lower sliding section that connects to the UC chassis beam...

Walked away with nothing but a pocket load of cash

Just spent the day at the Dowerin Field Day, checked out the Whitlands Superspliter. Nice product but the ws3150 @ 8k it's a bit much, The guy I went with concured that we might have a crack at building one with bits for less than $1000+ time.

have the help of 2 great gentlemen
Max has a has 3-phase welder who make all his own stuff, (custom long range fueltank in hilux/colarado, good old skool adapter)
Mike and I went to the show and he does trailers but only has a single phase welder
and some kind of 5-15hp motor

I can't ever see a restored first model tojo ever bringing $70,000 at an auction, like a series one landrover has achieved, it would take years just to find the rust stain, then the restoration after that. LOL.

True, but the 40s and 45s regularly pull $10,000 for a mint or restored one. Don't see too many 70's models land rovers go for that either. Each got their good and bad points I reckon.

Most blokes with (half a brain and) $70 grand go out and buy a NEW V8 LANDCRUISER TRAY and don't waste time on decrepit axle breaking relics bwildered - lol - each to his own though I guess

Do the shafts on the HT131 pole pruners require regular maintenance and is it costly...eg..parts replacement?
