Nah, not going to enjoy paying list plus shipping. but others are not so fortunate, so this may be the only way they can enjoy a high performance saw.

I'm new here, there seems to be several dolmar fans around. I use huskys and stihls. I like my 372XP, 046, 346XP, MS200T. There's no Dolmar dealer around here and i've never used one. The general opinion here seems to be positive.

Click on the Dolmar link in Bailey's online catalog and this is what you get:

"Sorry, no matches found"

They had two models on there a few days ago. I guess Dolmar is really crackin down on online sales? KD

KTOOM, Where in NY are you? I know for a fact that there are Dolmar dealers in NY. The Cutting Edge, an A/S sponsor is one, and there are others. Did you try the Dolmar dealer locator?

Dolmar sided with their brick and mortar dealers on this one. Online sales are forbidden.

Are you saying Dolmar Inc stepped in and pulled the plug on the Bailey thing?

We had a guy over in Maryland rolling Stihl out the door using e-bay. Seems he got a wake up call from Stihl Inc. He's no longer doing it. Can't sell products without a supplier of the product.

I called around to some of the sponsors of this forum and just bought a 7900 (power head only) for $599 from one of them. I do not have a local dealer and was happy with that price. It never hurts to call and ask.

If you can't support a local dealer, try to support a sponsor!

I live in the N.E. corner of Illinois. I have a good buddy that has a fairly large OPE store/repair center, about a half million in sales a year. He carries many lines but, the only saws he carries are Echo since he has such success with the rest of the line. Mostly because of numerous landscape businesses in our area. We have many tree service operations also, especially along Lake Michigan. However, they of coarse use the local Stihl and Husqvarna dealers. I have him convinced to take on Dolmar since the other support in this area well, stinks! Even if he wasn't a friend I'd still have to say a more fair, honest and hard working business owner would be hard to find in this neck of the woods. I would gladly post his store name and number if it was allowed but, I'm not sure if the rules here permit that. Moderators, please advise me of the proper channel to pursue this. I'm sure anyone interested in Dolmar, in the N.E. corner of Illinois just west of the lake and just south of the Wisconsin border couldn't be happier after dealing with him. Please advise,Jay.

BigBore... if you look through the threads, there is one on favorite dealer. I'm sure you could post the biz name and town, as many other folks have been doing.
