Hi guys,
i bought the saw few months ago and it is been the fourth times something has gone wrong with it. As soon as I started the saw today, I noticed the engine doesn't run as smoothly as it should be.When I engage the chain brake the engine stalls and when i leave the saw running without engaging the throttle for a few minutes it also stalls. Its also super hard to start. Should I trash it and buy a new one or try to fix it? Any suggestion?

no dealer near me right now, i live far in the woods. I have to fix my stuff myself

Living in the woods is no excuse to avoid going to the dealer to get the problem taken care of under warranty.
I'm guessing since you aren't willing to take that step then you're also probably not taking the proper steps in general maintenance.

Actually, the average saw user doesn't take very good care of their equipment, that's why when I get them in my little shop they are generally filthy with parts missing or broken. Many people who post here are meticulous about their saws and they are spotless but I don't think our members are average saw users.

I suppose we will just have to take your word that the 562xp is the worst saw ever and stay away from them. Thanks for informing us.

Agreed-Well almost. No one said worst saw ever, it's the "worse saw ever". This particular one is so bad it's worthy of 2 threads concurrently running ar the same time!

Well this is great! Instead of suggestions on helping someone with a problem, let's criticise him...

@ssx3
Sorry can't help you besides the typical problem areas: correct fuel, clean air/fuel filter, nothing(insects etc.) in the exhaust,...

But personally I would contact the dealer and have him wrenching around on a new saw with guarentee.

The whole thing sounds brush-apey. He starts 2 threads begging for help.

The OP doesn't want to take his $7-900 saw to a dealer.

There is one, 1, uno way that applying the chain break can affect the saws engine at idle - if the clutch is engaging when it shouldn't be. He says the clutch is fine.

There is nothing left to be gained on an online forum for this situation.

I take it you missed the part where he says how he's not going to listen to the best advise we can give him...well not in those exact words, but that was what he was getting at.

Do they sell ethanol fuel in Canada? It sounds like your carb isn't functioning and may need rebuilt or replaced. A replacement will cost you close to $100 if you do it yourself, or free with warranty and I'm assuming it costs you less than that for fuel to make the trip to the dealer.
