I sold a couple saws this week. Now I have some cashola, the one thing I want to do is replace the 28 inch Oregon Power Match with a light weight bar on my MS440. Mostly I use the 440 exclusively for falling. At least half the trees I go after are Ponderosa Pine, which I almost always bore cut since I have seen a few too many barber chairs on big Pondos, too many mine own falls. Bore cuts solve that, but I have heard Sugi's tip rollers tend not to live long when doing a lot of bore cuts. What's that leave except a 25 inch Stihl 3/8 bar? I don't see a longer ES Light bar at StihlUSA site.
And where/who would you order from if there is a recommendation?
Thanks for the thoughts. I look forward to a better balanced saw, the PowerMatch makes it a bit bar heavy.
