If my coil is toast I’ll just put an unlimited coil on it but all the unlimited 460 coils I see are two prong while mine is three prong. Could I put a two-prong coil on my saw or do I need a three pronged coil?

Coil center pole is below potting. Looks like toast along with the flywheel.
If that’s the case, what is required to replace this lousy plastic flywheel with the aluminum version?
The flywheel is plastic?
Plastic/poly with metal laminations.
I've seen worse run just fine... at least give it it a try before throwing parts at it. Stick with the oem poly flywheel as well. Chi-coms make aluminum replacement versions.

Well that is a VERY SCARRY thought... Chicom cast metal spinning at 14K. A grenade would kill you for sure!
I appear to have lucked into a bunch of 461 parts from a friend so things seem to have worked out for me.

My 461 died the same way, main bearing failure. I ran it at half throttle too much (bad habit, user error, mia culpa) and slipped the clutch, causing the clutch and crankshaft to heat up. The PTO side bearing has a nylon cage, and this melted or at least deformed enough to cause the bearing to fail.
No, but I should have most of another 461 to cannibalize for any and all non-wear parts I need.
