I would say my 038 mag bigger than the small saws, smaller than the big saws great power, not to bad on fuel.has cut monster amounts of fire wood and bullet proof!

My MS440DN, what a screamer! Although, all the rest are a close second in popularity!

When I go to cut firewood I usually take my DN372xp and my personally woods ported MS360pro, I try to give both these screamers their fair share at some good Oak or Hickory, they both love to make chips. Both saws run a 20" bar and hand filed chisel by yours truly! I just need some below 95 degree weather to get really in the mood to cut wood!

Well I have not cut too much but I sure do like my Echo 510. I got some parts coming for my other saws, so that may change. The Echo will get the job done though.

well i have to say that i love my 345 its light cuts good, has good power for 8' to 10' wood. i am looking at a 2000 model 55 let me know what you think. it a good price. thanks :hmm3grin2orange: i also talked to to my stihl dealer he told me he would make me a good deal on any saw but i dont know if i will like the way they feel. i have never had a better feeling saw than my husky. i used a 460 or i guess it was a 046 then when i cut mining timbers but that was about 10yrs ago.

I don't know what I like best. All I had before coming to this site a year or two ago was a Jonny 2050 which was fine. Now there's a 361, 7900 and a recently-obtained 034. I only ran about 4 tanks of mix in the 361 before I happened into a 7900. It makes short work felling and bucking and so the 361 has sat while the 7900 and 2050 do the big and little work. This year, I've got give that 034 a whirl and see what she is made of. So right now, I can't say I have favorites. I will say the 361 running 24" of full skip is a great combination for ground work and ease of chain maintenance.

If I only had one saw to run for firewood, I guess it would be the ms361. I however prefer running two saws when cutting firewood, my 353 and 7900 get most of the work. If you have a 50cc and a 70+cc saw, I don't think there is much need for a 361. But if I were going to run one saw and only one saw, the 361 would be it.
