I'm putting some saws and other equipment up on the shelf for awhile , could be few weeks on some of the equipment and a few months on the others
I just ran fresh gas thru them until they stopped , blew off with air & put on shelf

Should anything different be done such as repeat process over again after so many months or just leave sit and not worry about it .
Thanks

Ethanol free fuel and maybe a splash of seafoam!

You'll get a hundred different suggestions I'm sure. If we're going to be years, I'd say drain 'em of fuel completely. My equipment always starts (snowblowers, saws, lawnmowers) after sitting idle for months at a time during the "off seasons".

A year may be pushing it with the nature of mix gas! My folks just sold their cabin near Westfield this winter (sad face). All us kids were to busy to get up that way...

You live in the same climate as I do roughly , would leaving them sit in a un- heated pole barn for up to a year be ok ?
Prob if you use non E! For best results dump them all out 6 months later and add new fuel and run . Always start them and get the new mix in the carb. I have lots of saws and this works well.

Yes a year at a time would be pushing it! Plus in Wisconsin, it seems they have ethanol free option, but outta a shared pump...how much ethanol 87 octane you getting before lines clear??

Yes starting things up every once in awhile is something that I have to remember to do
They call it rec. gas around here also and 91 octane is best will see but the octane should not be important

That makes sense , I am going to keep a log on stuff this year because I forget things like this after a month or so , have lot of different equipment so it's hard to keep track of things
