Finally got it today!:biggrinbounce2: I had the dealer put the Dual Port Muffler cover on right away, he said no carburetor adjustment was necessary. I went with the 24” (actually I believe it’s a 25”) bar. The book says no WOT until broke in (about 15 refills?). Dealer also thought it was jetted too tight to run 32:1 CCI premix. I’m going to run my 32:1 anyway, it doesn’t seem to hurt the Huskies and they’re supposed to be 50:1. Warrantee got turned in, even with the DPMC.

Congrats on a bad mofo!:chainsaw: :chainsaw:

You better check that saw with a tach before cutting.....

LMAO... Stihl recommends 50:1 and will be just fine in that saw. The carb does need to be retuned after a dual port has been installed.

There are no "jets" in a chainsaw...

Just go cut wood with that SOB... no "break in" required.

Thanks. Yeah that’s kinda what I’m thinking too. So if it’s running too lean (probably so due to the low restrictive muffler) the tach reading will be high then the limiter cap will have to be removed and the H srew adjusted?
I’ll get it back to a dealer and get a tach reading.

50:1 just seems so “EPA correct”.:D I agree though on the break in, run it hard and seat the rings.:rockn:

It needs to be re-tuned. The H limiter cap will need to be removed to do this.
Got it, thanks.

That is WOT out of wood, allways run it at WOT when in wood, or the gas mix to air rate might be wrong ......
Thanks, the owners manual needs to elaborate more for dummies like me!

660=King of 90cc class

Hope to, it’s got a great track record at AS.

Yep that's for sure!!

Get back to your dealer for a tach reading, he should have a limiter cap puller and extra caps to reinstall once tuned.

I have another question: Why did you choose the 660 over a 395xp?

Nice saw, now go get some sawdust on that thing, I hate the way they look all sparkly like that.

If you don't like the saw....I just might be in the market for one!!!
LOL! I like it and I have'nt used it yet.:greenchainsaw: I thought your 660 video was good.

Yep, I filled my 90 cc gap. I chose the 660 over the 395 only because I wanted to try a Stihl. Besides, the 395 is just a scaled down 3120 and I've got one of those. I did take into consideration: the weight, the looks, good fuel economy, close dealer, close supplier of parts, and good reputation. I felt this model would be best for stump grinding work as well as a firewood saw.

Cool! Thanks for the non biased reply!
