What could be considered the equivalent Husqvana to an MS660/661? What opinions do people have about the comparison?

The new 592xp. The big old 395xp is in a different class IMHO.

Brett I'm going to have to disagree with you at this time "things can always change" However, for the time being, I would definitely not say the 592xp is better than the 661 in every way. I've had both for three weeks, and at this point, I feel they're at least equal. I try and not let the new saw hype get get to me.

IMHO a 390xp walks all over a MS660 and yes Ive got both.
Maybe- but a 660 is just a slightly detuned, rebadged 066 with flippy caps, so developed in the late 1980's- the 390 is a 21st century saw that was always going to have better air filtration and anti vibration.

Im not brand loyal to any of them, its just always been that pound for pound a husky would outcut a stihl. That all changed with the introduction of the 500i. Most of my family disowned me 3 weeks ago when I bought one lol. Ive got a brand new 390xp that Im seriously considering selling and replacing it with another 500i.

Would be a sensible thing to do in my opinion.

I can't disagree with this. I'll add the 462 into the mix as well, weights about the same as a 562, but more power than a 572.

Don't tell me that! I will end up replacing all my stable with creamsicle saws! Ive cut probably 2 mil ft with a 562, little fellar will scream but he aint got no torque!

You need a powerful lightweight saw, or a really powerful saw ?
There is allways the 881, at back breaking weight that is sure going to benefit a 50+ old forest worker..
Ummm yeah, screw that! The older I get the more weight becomes an issue! LOL do I know you? I remember thinking WTF? when my Dad kept getting smaller and smaller saws to TRY to cut timber with. Im beginning to understand now.
