*ouchie* thats alot of greenbacks. Hard to captialize the ROI at that cost. Working to pay for a machine.Actually, if you really want a tire machine, a local friend has a low hour very clean 2011 Bobcat S850 for sale. Bigger machine but very well cared for, although the price is around 70k I think.
You have a trailer and truck doing that.... I don't think the kid is that heavily armored, nor endowed with that kind of liquidity. That being said, just buying things without calculating the cost vs ROI is asking for failure. Why I have been talking him away from 75 or more HP, everything scaled back is cheaper, and can be as efficient in the big picture. Life Cycle Cost Analysis and ROI are not just catchy slogans. Ideally, he has paid for it all, and has started taking all the payments he used to make, and putting half aside for replacements, and have the replacement full cost saved (even earning interest somewhere) when he must purchase again.I generally haul in log form, and cut and process at the yard. 20' foot logs are my prefered length.
Also need to take into consideration the size of the logs he has down there
I didn't get to where I am today, by making payments to a bank over and again, and again, and again.- plus interest.....
