At this point working for the gubberment and or the main stream propaganda companies likely would cause me to have a very warm place to stay for all eternity.
One can only hope that’s what they get.

Actually, I don’t think a Christian is supposed to say stuff like that so…I’ll just say I agree.

I'm just guessing it's $500/yr. My single axle 5'x8' used to cost $120 so I extrapolated. It's just me, my little trailer and a 2WD truck. I don't have a mill, no business or place to get unlimited logs so no fairy tales for me. But I can dream:).
Check into putting a Maine tag on it. Saved me a bunch here in PA.

Yes, but you live North of the MTA surcharge, which is more than the registration fee for a small trailer!
25 bucks per year per vehicle . I paid it when I lived in Wappingers . Also paid and extra 50 a year on the Dodge because it was a Diesel with a GVW over 8,001 pounds . As soon as they did that all my vehicles were registered here . My motorcycles went from $42 a year back to $ 17 . They charged me on the old cars too. So 9 classics and 3 reg cars 3 trailers and 3 motorcycles .
While I agree that the MTA is essential it should clean up its house before charging the counties that it serves regardless if you use it or not . It would have been more palatable if they charged a$1 per registration across the board

Surprised you haven’t changed your to your camp address.

Down here it's about $65 for permanent trailer plates. 👍
I’ve been looking into registering my trailers in Main . See a lot of them on the road here pulled by a NY truck . Believe it’s a permanent one time fee . And they don’t care if you don’t live there . Friends in the motor home club had their Motor homes registered in Montana .

At the same time the trailer plates in IL went up, vehicles went up also. From $48/yr to $150/yr. (iirc)

My enclosed trailer still has an annual tag, but all my smaller utility trailers and boat trailers have lifetime tags in MN.

MN has a progressive fee chart for passenger vehicles based off of assumed vehicle value so if you buy an expensive vehicle you may be spending 1000 bucks a year on tags and an older one are fixed around 40 bucks.

One travesty is that a lot of people will not transfer lifetime trailer tags when they buy something so that when you go to buy it from them, you were unable to transfer it into your name. The only option is to retitle the trailer as rebuilt if you want to technically be legal on the roads. Because the DMV will not tell you who actually holds the license tag.

One of my lifetime tags has faded so badly it is unreadable. It lives most of its time on my property in IA so I won't bother buying a new tag until I have it in MN again.
