Working on this for a friend-o-mine.

He claimed the tank was leaking.

I cleaned everything up as good as I could,

What a mess... Looked like every fitting had been oozing for years.

I visually inspected the tank, all the welds seem ok, no sign of tank leakage,

I decided I would pressure test the tank (3-4 psi).

and re-do all the fittings.

When I removed the inlet hose from the pump, the pressed in spigot came with it.

Surprised me, I was expecting to find a threaded port...

Now what to do do?

I could try to clean it up and press it back in... maybe try to seal it with silicone or X-pando?... I dunno.

I fixed one like that for my dad. IIRC I used hi temp JB weld. Gotta clean it up really good to get all the oil off both parts. It worked good till his splitter disappeared. If that doesn't work try surplus center for a pump. Good luck.

@rancher2 I mostly agree, only thing for me in this situation is I would the green sleeve retainer loc-tite, if you want it to come apart again that gets a little sketchy but man does it hold

Well, I got the spigot back in.

I cleaned it up with brake cleaner..

Looked like it was originally assembled with some kind-o-sealer/goop..

I used X-Pando. It is good stuff.

Hope I never have to take it back apart tho...

I dunno know how it works,
It is old school badass stuff.

If you have to disassemble....

Went to put the new hose on today and the spigot practically fell out.

The Xpando musta squeegeed off? Mixed too thick?

Ill try again with some kind-o-Loktite goop I reckon...
