We've been mixing a bit of lemon & cranberry juice in water, with some stevia to cut the pucker factor.
Seems to work pretty well for us guys.
We try to avoid factory bottled stuff (Gatorade etc) as much as possible because of the tons of sugar in it.... though I really like drinking Gatorade!

It would be about 5 years ago when I had a heat stroke. Haven't been able to deal well with the heat since. Weeks in the 90"s are brutal on me,and my job running around in the heat all day doesn't help much.
What the Dr told me back then was I didn't replace the electrolytes I lost, I kept fighting him I was drinking water all day. sports drinks make me feel sick to the stomach. I guess it didn't help I didn't eat all day, and was slinging shingle packs up and down all day. He gave me a list of powders to add to water. I settled on this skratch brand. Has a mild taste and isn't real sweet. I stick with the lemon and fruit punch flavors. Definatly helps, but I have to remember to add it to my water.

Pouring cats and dogs in Central Mass. Predicting 3 - 5 inches today with tornadoes warnings from CT. up into NH. and Maine.
yea we got 3-5 but I am glad no tornado that I saw on the weather
My daughter has a family party scheduled for later today to celebrate her daughter's and her nephew's birthdays, and we have severe thunderstorm and tornado warnings!

Not for nothing, but tornado warning for around here are almost as rare as confirmed Bigfoot sightings!

I hope the forecasters are wrong!
We had a tornado back in June of 2011. It missed us by 1/2 mile or less but it's path of destruction hit lots of towns. I was delivering lunches to people trying to clean up and rebuild. Lots of scum bags looting.

Y'all been good or slackin ?
Those are my only two choices? Can I see what's behind door #3? After almost a year off with my replacement knee not going well, I'm finally getting back into firewood after arthroscopic surgery to clean it up. Good thing I planned ahead before surgery.

How about you? You burning at all now? Or just cruisin' through for old times sake? :hi:

When I used to compete, I used Heed and Perpetuem in my water bottles.

Both made by Hammer, the Heed is safer and good for shorter rides. The Perpetuem also helps to protect your muscles on longer rides, but you don't want to use too much of it. To play it safe, I often used it 50-50 on our long rides.

This stuff definitely helped you go further w/o cramping and with less fatigue.
