Man, I keep working on the piles but they still seem just as big as two weeks ago. I think the footprint is the same, just not as tall now. The one shoulder season pine stack should be complete tomorrow at a little over two cords. You conifer aficionados can watch for updates soon pending weather!

Stihl RS.325 PRO chain , nothing faster
Well after much reading, it isn’t an easy conversion. 261s use the larger splines and rims are not compatible with .325 chain unless you go to a 9 pin. I wouldn’t want that.

I ordered a 3/8 .050 stihl ES bar and 2 RS chains tonight.

That fence is broken in 3 places and it belongs to me F------ A------ neighbor. It has been broken since the Winter and their horses have been cooped up in their barn since that time. I have yet to see those horses out of the barn since Winter.
Well, you better get it fixed :).
Maybe he needs a hand, sounds like the fence ain't the only thing needing fixed though.

Is that his nickname?
Dang spellcheck :badpc:.
I typed cowlad, spellcheck thinks it's smarter than me, and while it isn't, it still corrected me :nofunny:.
That being said, I ain't the best speller in the world, but that's what I got my wife for .

My just acquired 362C has a 3/8 .050, 24” bar on it. I want to use that bar on my 440. Is there anything conceptually wrong with buying a new 20” .325/.063 bar for the 362?

I would get a new rim too.

I think the 362 would cut like a laser with .325, am I missing anything here?

I’m not opposed to a new 3/8 bar but just spitballing.
Do a test and let us know. My 362XP cuts great with a 20" bar and a 3/8 square toothed chain.

I won't go into this because he tries to follow me on the internet forums. You just can't fix stupid. Narcissist

From all the testing I've seen 3/8 is faster on saws with 4hp or greater. It also helps keep filing equipment to a minimum if you have mainly 3/8, which doesn't matter much to me as I've got a bunch of everything. Although it can at times feel like a bit of a burden(having many size chains/files) until you're cleaning a client's yard up with big chips in it and think, man this would ha e been a lot easier to clean up if it was mainly 325 or better yet 3/8 picco/LP. The picco chains sure cut smooth and fast on small saws.

Tell Him chipper1 aka Brett said to fix those fences, then it's all on me rather than you. Better yet shoot me a PM with your address and I'll figure out what his is and send it myself .

A great log wrangler hooking up the drag out chain., life's better with a helpmate.

Dropped these two and pulled them out into the pasture to block them up. Both m-l 2' on the butt, 20' long.

Cherry was a wind storm victim the other was standing dead, kinda "gone over" but still enough fiber to split instead of break off. Still some big branches of the dead one to pull out.
