I just put some Cooper Discover AT3 on the Silverado. Today in this “Wintery Mix” I was amazed how well they did. Such an improvement over the whooped mud boggers that were on there. They were down to about 4/32 of tread and were absolutely horrible. Needed 4wd when I shouldn’t have. Now, the truck drives great

It ain't worth it bud, find another gig.
They pay me too much to walk away…

I’m only 42, I think if I can last to 55 I should be set

Kids colleges will be paid for and I should have a decent nest egg. Gonna not retire, but definitely scale back

My dream, absolute DREAM would be to go to school for gunsmithing and open a shop

But, that is a dream…..

A locking diff, while handy for crawling your truck up the unplowed road to wherever, becomes dangerous at speed especially in turns.

The worst I had was a Detroit Locker (No Spin) in the front, they disengage one side automatically to unload the pressure. When that happens you do a lane change without touching the steering wheel. I replaced it with an air locker as soon as I could.

Had to take my wife to the Doc this morning, she fell and broke a finger!

In Danbury, off I-84 Exit 7 (and North on Rte 7) it was 28* and snowing.

10 minutes later, taking Rte 7 South / 84 West it was 36* and raining!

We must have gone through a front!
Sounds like Kodiak's winter weather!

My scrounge claim.
A twisted mess of spring and twist loaded blown down trunks, unstable root wads, iced over creeks. Hung up wind blown snags and wind sheared tops everywhere. A fun puzzle full of good seasoned Spruce. A bit of it is to far gone punky wood, but about 50% of it is STIHL good and sound enough for decent firewood.👍

G'day fellers,

I'm stihl plugging away catching up but thought you could all use some fishing pics

We went down to my parents' place on the coast over Christmas. The weather was mostly not great but we did have a few good days. There was a huge school of Australian Salmon in the estuary. They're great fighters for their size and hit anything shiny. They were all in the 3-4lb range which is good for the estuary.

Frequently we'd have double hookups and no time to ditch one fish before netting the next

Fed 7 of us for four days

Those are very popular around here, I run them on my pickup. Current set is at 35,000 and on their 3rd winter. Traction is still decent, still riding good but I'll probably need to replace them this fall.

I have a similar thought in my head to go part time at 55, and enjoy life a bit more. Unsure if thats in the cards with some of the things my wife and I have been talking about recently.(buying a place with more property has come up several times now.)
I really hope everything works out in your favor.
