Won’t happen . I’m making more now than when I worked no debt either . In 8 years they are going to make me take money from my 401k that I haven’t touched pisses me off too :(
You do know you can put that 401k into a Roth and then you are free to spend it whenever you want? You have to pay the taxes on it upfornt but then it is yours to decide when and how to spend it.
It is easier to transfer it over several years so you don't get hit with a big tax bill all at once.

Anyone else ever try to bore cut whilst forgetting you were trying to use up a green chain????? I hate to just pitch them so I try to use them up on bucking saws and occasionally forget i'm running one. I've never intentionally purchased one but had several near new ones come in one non runners.
Though I typically use Stihl RS chains I've got some Green Stihl RM chains. Never had a problem bore cutting with them... Haven't used the full blown anti kick back chains with the extra lump on the tie straps between teeth. They will not due for my needs... That said, if I were cutting a lot of small saplings and vines that tend to get caught by RS chains those extra lumps might be handy.

ya the extra lumps totally take bore cutting off the table They just spin on the bark and go nowhere. Neat bit of engineering if you think about it. As it rolls around the nose, the safety tab sticks out further than anything else and won't let the the cutters even touch. Now I've heard that a dremel tool can remedy that but of course I would never do that! lolol I'm sure none of you all have either!!!

I usually run a 28" on my ported MS-460 (w/ported 046-D jug) and on both my ported hybrids. I also often run a 24" bar on one of my ported 660s to noodle large rounds that are too big to lift into the splitter. I don't like using the splitter in vertical position, my back just does not like it! I would rather lift the rounds.
When the rounds are too big for me to lift, the splitter goes vertical, and I break out the knee pads. When the splitter is horizontal, I have to wear steel toes.. Either way, my back doesn't like it.. The older I get, I do less of an amount, more frequently.. I would rather noodle than split for kindlin..

Got home a little early to go watch my daughters basketball game

Could not believe my eyes!!

There was a Coyote 50yrds from back door!

By the time I grabbed my .223, he took off

I gave chase in the fields, had him in my crosshairs, dang SAFETY was still on, ughhhh

Must have been some sight, a guy in management attire, on ATV, with rifle, chasing a Wyle E through fields
Down in these parts there's a dress code for yote huntin on four wheelers.. You gotta wear a tie and barn boots..

Ya know,🤔 I have a few 16" loops of .325 anti kick back fir my 260. I really dont mind running it on that saw for what I use it for. It cuts just fine. It really dose and with no complaints from me. I can't remember where I even purchased it. I would assume Madsen's.
I've literally worn ou well over 1000 feet of aggressive .63g 3/8 FC and SS saw chain in my years on the saw. Heck, probably over 2000 feet is a more accurate figure! However, I haven't used up 50 feet of .325 in all that time. 🤷

Oh I know it, that .223 is living near the back door until spring now

My wife told me yesterday, around 2 the pig was going wild. I wonder if the yote was irritating him….

Same here kk. It cuts just dandy on your basic cuts. That's why I don't waste it.

The second bear I shot in my life was closing on me at 30 yards when I got eyes on him. By the time I got my rifle to me shoulder and the scope covers popped. He was at 15 yards. I started squeezing the trigger more and more and more. Nothing! SAFTY WAS STIHL ENGAGED! 😳Oh💩****! He stopped and stood up right there at the 15yrd mark. Long enough for me to get my head out of my ass! I disengaged the safty and let fly with 250gr of Swift A-frame out of a .338WM. Three shots fired and game over. Then a fourth shot fired just to make sure! I believe if he hadn't stopped to stand up. He would have been on top of me. I got lucky that day I'll tell ya and he was just a little guy!

Wish I had time this week is blocked up . Which wearhouse is it ?
No signs or anything so I don.t. know Lady just sent me an address and phone# and said call when I get to the gate. Apparently you have to call every time you go. My buddy didn't and some suit came out and reamed him. He showed the guy his phone messages to him from the girl and it didn't say anything about calling every time and the suit chilled a bit. It's a M-F, 8-4 time frame for pickup.

You win the scrounging wood and other stuff thread for the day :numberone: .
Well, we're onto a different day, hope you enjoyed it:laughing:.
That's a heck of a deal, I'd buy a new trailer and be filling it as a fast as I could if I were you. Those will be like owning the totes was, but by spring :envy:.
My favorite Chain as of late is the Hexa. I was gifted a stihl RSLK from a guy that came to our GTG a few years back . Cut great. We're on chains now @WoodAbuser  View attachment 1143356View attachment 1143357

I'd never do that, that's what cutoff wheels are made for ;)

I believe things are getting mixed up here, not that Stihl makes things easy!

I believe the RSK chains are factory square file, but the RSLK is RS Klassic (the only difference is the raker profile). (Yea, Stihl will often use the same letter to mean different things, and the letter often does not relate to the change).

The raker profile was changed some years ago to make the chain run smoother. It is a more gradual lift (the raker is longer). Raker height likely has more to do with how it cuts than raker profile.

I did not think the classic style rakers were still available, but I could be wrong.
You're correct. The one the racers want is the one no longer made. They have a newer 404 that they use that is still in production, but if I'm not mistaken it's only sold to their timbersports guys?
I was at a GTG at Kevin's place and definitive Dave had a box of chains he was selling for 5 bucks each, there were a few of the old 3/8 non-anti vibe chains in there, I snagged up a bunch. A few minutes later there was one of the big racers from MI (can't remember his name right now, he has hundreds of saws and his brother had a 3 cut record for some class) who saw me carrying them, he offered me 20 each for them. It's a lot like racing tractors in the stock.classes, in order to win, you have to have the right tires, or you're just spinning your wheels.

Remembered, Hesel (spelling? ).
