My brother has been limbing and ground working with the 026/260 for years. I heard the same thing about a ton of saws like the 350 which we bought my dad for his birthday five yrs ago, he is 70 and runs it like a 30 yr old and it still rips. The only down fall is he doesn't make money and my bro does. Nice saw!

Yeah I also like the 026/260's. I would have to guess, despite all of its criticism, the 026/260 has made more money than the 346 and 5100 combined. I guess it must be a green turd.

......
I have seen what that saw has the potential of doing, I just wonder why Husky can't make an effort to get it a little closer to that from the factory? It's tried and true, it's proven, it's rock solid, but with a little effort, it will eat bigger saws for lunch!!!!

Still want to dance?:)

They probably don't want it to eat too much into the 357xp (and maybe 365) sales........

I have not heard any comments on the 570 or 460, my lowes stihl has the 455 ranchers on the shelves.:(

A 570 came into my hands about a week ago (used). I have not cut with it yet, but it does not feel as "snappy" as the 2165/365 when I run it. And it is HEAVY. I have let about 3 people who run 372XP's handle it and that has been the first comment out of all of them. My first thought was how the handle is fatter, then when I lifted it I forgot about the handle. They probably had to make it bigger for structural reasons. Unless this thing really does have "X-Torq", I don't see it being in my collection long.

One thing about the 359 is, its a hell of a lot better than that turd known as the Husky 460!

For some reason, the dealer tried to steer me towards the 460 when I told him I wanted the 359. I'm thinking he had a few of those in stock...

The dyno tests by DLG/KWF has not proven that the "x-torque" (strato) engines produce any more low end torque than other designs, as I remember it.......

The dealer wanted to move the 570's!!!!

I've handled the 570 and 575, no thanks!!!! On "paper" the 570 is lighter, it may be, but it balanced like crap and the MS390 I bought instead, felt about three pounds lighter and balanced a LOT better with a 20" on it.

I grew up on 365's. When I think of 60cc saws, I think bigger, heavier saws with some power.

The 359 doesn't fall into that category for me. I find I grab the 5100 for the limbs up to 12-14" or so then go to the MS360 or 372/440 over the 359. The 359 in stock form is a pig. it needs a muffler mod just to run a 18" bar imo. Granted, they run awesome when modded, but why pay for a saw and then have to put more cash into it to make it run like others in the same cc range?

If you guys like the 359 so much, I have a nice one I need to sell. it can be stock or modded, I have both jugs and mufflers.

I can't comment on the 5100, because I haven't run one. I have owned a 359, (nice saw) and still own a 361, :)biggrinbounce2: )

I have to disagree about the muffler mod to pull an 18" bar. We run 24's 80% of the time here in ohio and thats in oak and maple.
