Man this guy wanted a 262XP bad

I like mine but not for over $700 for a used saw, no matter how clean it is

i quit doing the ebay thing . i ised to buy archery equipment off ebay . but it got to where i would be outbid . and then a week or so later the seller would email me telling me the guy who won the bid backed out , and i could have it for my last bid if i wanted it . i really think there buddies bid them up high , and then try to scam us . so i quit . hoot

I seem to remember seeing brand new 372s for less than that.Ever notice how anything used you will ever buy was owned by an elderly person?I guarantee you could find a used D9 Caterpillar dozer,and the dealer would tell you an elderly lady owned it.The Stihl ,Husky ,and Jonsered name really sells on ebay.Ive even seen well used 029s sell for over $300.Makes it nice for sellers at least.

Yeah today I was looking at I believe a 460, the seller said he bought it brand new and it was only a 1 1/2 yrs. old. then he mentioned he didn't have the original box because he pitched it. hmmm... mine never came in a box,
I thought Stihl prided themselves in that.

I've purchased quite a few things off eBay and never had this happen. However, I see your concern.

262xp whip a Stihl ms361????

I know it was said in good humor, but some folks think the 262 was and is the most powerfull saw for its size/power to weight in its' class and some it was never intended to be.It has been posted that on paper it is very close to the 372xp indeed in horsepower output.I've ran both and can say the 262 is close stock for stock to the 372.As far as the 361 is concerned, has anyone ever heard the saying,,,can't hold a light for it to run by????I know a few guys that buy every 262 they come across, not 7 bills but up to 4 for a clean tight saw.I own one now and had two at one time...
