009 Piston ID: 1 or 2 Rings?

I am trying to decide whether my 009 has a single-ring or double ring piston. The two look to be different height on the IPL, and thus not interchangeable.
My saw machine # is 229806814, bought new in 1994. It is not an 009L, so I assume it is the 36 mm diameter piston.

2 possibilities: 1120 030 2005 1 ring
1120 030 2009 2 ring

couldnt u just pull the muffler and look in???
