I'm the man in my pants.
Found one today that needs work cosmetically but has good compression and runs. I can get it for $50.00. Are parts available and is this saw worth taking on as a personal project? Thanks for the help...:)

Lake is a busy man of few words but right. It is the same series as the 026. Many parts interchange. There have been some threads in the past about redoing them. I believe someone put a 026 p/c on a 024 saw. I cant remember for sure.

You can put 026 cylinder on 024.........IF it's an 024 Super. (you can but compression will be very low)
024 has shorter stroke than 024 Super and 026

024 and 024 Super have same bore

024 Super and 026 have same stroke
