replaced the ignition module on my yard sale 028 wb stihl , ran for about 20 seconds then cut out, figured bad gas and changed the fuel filter, now when I try to start it nothing, and gas leaks out the bottom, is there a fuel line from the pump to the carb. or can you recommend a starting point?

The fuel line runs through the tank and into the carb box. The other line is for vacuum and pressure impulses from the crankcase. My guess is that the line was brittle and you cracked it or put a pinhole in it while changing the filter. Buy a new fuel line and impulse line from your local dealer.

These lines are model specific. Here are the part numbers you need:

Fuel Line - 1118 358 7700

Impulse Line - 1115 141 8600

You also might want to check to see if there is a tank vent(1117 350 5800) attached . I have seen it where the tank vent has fallen off. That could also be the culprit for the leaking gas.

Also check to see that your new ignition coil gap is set correctly. Some here just use a business card to set that gap.
