Hi all at AS.
I have an 064 with a 660 (not 066) top end.
I have located a very good 064 cylinder.I believe this cylinder has better porting than 660.
Am I better off fitting this cylinder?
Have a new 064 Meteor piston to go with it.

What about an 064 cylinder and non decomp 066.
More or less the same ports and timing?

Tony Moy, AKA Brewz is a bog builder over by you. In Victoria NSW.

He builds a bunch of racers and swears by the 52mm jug. Can’t make a 54mm run like one.

The non decomp 066 should be short case assembly-has an oval plug above the Oil fill cap and a metal flywheel. The only difference between that and an 064ncase is the oil pump setup and the cylinder base mount. The 066 uses M6 instead of M5 bolts and the holes are spaced wider, so your 064 jug won’t bolt on without slotting the jug base holes. An 066 jug will bolt to an 064 case using the smaller M5 bolts.

That being said, the non decomp 066 jugs were very good castings as well. The 660’s werent.

Talked to Tony a couple of times but that was 084 stuff.
I have a few 066's to choose from just want to use the best jugs.
Not A racer just a fire wood hack.
Want to put the 064 back to original as I don't have a pure 064 just a hybrid.
