First off, 288xp tank vent, when u guys change out vents do u add any kind of sealer to the outside of the vent to keep it from leaking or is there a lil trick??? I ask cuz i replaced the vent on my 55 a few years back and it still leaked. I'd rather do it right the first time then have to buy another vent cuz I trashed it getting it back out.

Second question, 357xp, it's leaking bar oil from the oiler adjustment screw. Is there an o-ring that can be replaced or is that something I have to live with???

Thanks for any responses. Woody

Rubber supply hose behind the oil pump may need replaced or re-seated - they like to leak there.

Try an o-ring with a little grease. You will have to press fit it in but it will stay and shouldn't leak. Some have tried silicone but it isn't gas resistant and will breakdown.
