201 TC brake spring

Working on Stihl 201 TC top handle. Problem is brake spring pops off when disengaging the brake. Any suggestions appreciated.

Maybe you put it together wrong? How about a pic of how it is assembled?

Thank LW. I dug 020T to compare. The 201 doesn't have the cover over the spring. I replaced the plastic parts behind the clutch. I'm sure that was problem.

Curious how the 201 TC compare to other top handles? Only one I've used is the 020T
