272xp lost spark

My 1995 272xp has lost spark. Checked wire from stop switch, plug wire has been reseated in coil and everything has been cleaned. Is there an easy way to check the coil or should I just replace it?

disconnect the wire from the switch,, if still no spark then you have a bad coil,,, but make sure you have the coil grounded good and the coil gap is right,, if all of that is good then find a coil
