I would hold out for good used OEM, a non-decomp kolbenschmidt if you can find one. This will sound snobbish, but a 288 is too special a saw to stick a chicom top end on.

You can't buy 288 OEM new?

544223102 is the part number. Meteor kits around 120. 288s are still sold new in other parts of the world today. I bought new tank and top for mine a couple of months ago and came in "Made in Brasil". The high top is NLA though.
