29-year-old man killed in tree-cutting accident

KNOXVILLE - Authorities have identified a man who was killed this afternoon while apparently trying to cut a dead branch from a tree.
Gary Steven Henry, 29, of Knoxville, was doing yard work for the homeowner at 411 Brown Drive when the branch fell on him, said Martha Dooley, Knox County Sheriff's Office spokesman.
The Knox County Sheriff's Office and the Knoxville Volunteer Emergency Rescue Squad responded to the scene in North Knox County.
Henry was pronounced dead at the scene shortly after 1 p.m.
