Just found out my planetary drive on my 290 D John Deere(tree harvestor) is going to take $ 4-5000 to fix. Just had the other side gone through for $2400,thought this side was in better shape, what a joke. Anyway looking 4 a used one,the problem is knowing the condition of a used one,if u asked me a month ago if mine was good I would've said yes.I'll have 2 take a used one apart 2 inspect before I buy I guess. Anyone know where there is a burnt up 290 D ?
