Anybody running a 359 stock with CAT muffler? Just picked up a clean low hour 359 off the "Bay".
I am considering running the saw stock for now. I know the CAT muffler is going to get hotter, but will it be enough to damage the engine?

Thanks for any help.

It wont cause any damage, but they Suck! Too easy to get another muffler or cut the guts out of that one.

Very good saw BTW.
Okay, good info. Are your 359's stock with a plain muffler?

If I replace the CAT with a stock muffler, will the carb adjust out to retune the saw, of will I have to start cuttings tabs off the carb?

Mine are all modded.
If you change out the muffler, you will likely need to retune, but doubt you will need to trim tabs.
