If you change your mind it will be cheaper to buy a 20" bar later. Typically easier to find bargains as well on 20" and shorter bars.

Hell, if someone wants a factory Husqvarna 20" bar for their 372, I have one in the barn in nearly unused condition. It is not a laminate, either. PM if yer interested. I would trade it for a 24"/84l loop of skip tooth square grind(http://www.baileysonline.com/itemdetail.asp?item=ORF 72CJ084G). I have no use for a 20" up here.

I had a 20 in bar on my 372xp and liked how it cut, but CAD cut in when I came across a fellow selling a Jonsered CS2165 with a 24 in bar, so now I don't have to switch bars, just reach for red for 20 inch and orange for 24 inch.

I'd go with the 24 hands down since you already have a small saw.

My 372 handles a 24 or the 18 i have just fine.

I found that a 20" is damn near 18", so go with the 24"

The factory 24 seems to make it slightly nose-heavy...but not much. I swapped it for a sugihara 24 and it has a perfect balance.

Definately get a 24.
