So who do you folks suggest i get a hold of to do some of these things? Such as the muffler porting, ignition, and cylinder porting?? Im up for any advice.

Here is an aftermarket non limited coil. It might not advance the timming quite as much as an OEM coil does. The timing is an easy fix if it bothers you.

Agree'd, they are the most difficult to set, as the rev limiting featureis right up there at the rpm's where they 4 stroke at when correctly adjusted. It took weeks for me to find the ideal setting(s) for the Echo CS-360T. With most of the other saws we've worked with, a couple of minutes and a few cuts and we're there!

As for modding a 372XP, it's already a fast cutting/powerful saw. Beyond a muffler mod and the coil, not much need to open them up any more, IMHO.....Cliff

Now how about the muffler mod...is this described or documented somewhere. I've been searching but just keep finding every thread with the words "muffler mod" in them.

Save your money and don't waste your time on the BB. You have a perfectly good OEM piston and cyl. If you look in this thread :

there is a picture of a muffler mod I just did. There are many others out there as well.
