my 4 saw Stihl plan:
200T, 026 Pro, 440, 084AV took me about 6 months to put together. First was the 084, had to jump on that deal. The 026 and 440 i got the same week I think. and lastly the 200t. I have not touched my 290 farmboss since getting the 026
All four saws for less than $1000 combined, watching craigslist everyday and waiting for deals to pop up.
I agree with having some redundancy... i can limb with a 440 if I need to if my buddies are using the two smaller saws. Likewise the 440 can do some larger bucking if the 084 is already tied up doing something.
A 660 would certainly suffice for 95% of what I do, but it is nice to have that extra power there for that occasional BIG job!
