61 Air Filter Assembly on a 272XP Conversion

Will this restrict the airflow with the larger displacement and carburetor?

I don't believe so. But it will hit the air tube in the top of the 272 top cover.

So to use a 272 air filter assembly I would have to have to 272 top cover?
Didn't know that. I'm using a late model 61 cover so I guess I'll leave everything as is.
