I have recently acquired a 670 with very low hours (maybe 1 hour) and a broken crankshaft. It was broke off clean on the clutch side. It belonged to a fire dept. and was wearing a carbide chain, some yahoo decided he was going to cut a car in half and "SNAP".

Anyway, I know this saw is related to the 266's, and 268's. Before I tear every husky apart in my junk pile, WHAT ALL SAWS SHARE THIS CRANKSHAFT?

Also, do the 272's and the 372's cranks interchange?

I asked dozerdan about that some time back. I also had a 670 with a bad crankshaft. If I remeber right all of the saws that you mentioned will work except the 372.
Wade

All crank fits like 266,630,162,61,272,268,625,630,670 except the 372.But on the later models, they had fine threads on the clutch side,so you need a clutch with fine threads too.The fine threads ones never snap on pto side,at least for what i saw.

I believe the following cranks will work. The 61, 162, 66, 266, 268, 272 Husky. The Jonsered 625 and 630 will also work. The 272 is totally different than a 372, not even close. The 371 and 372 are almost a duplicate of each other. Mike

Thanks for the help, I could spend a day splitting cases otherwise.
