You can see in this 8 second video that the 10 psi held good but you can see some tiny little bubbles coming out between the cylinder and base. I did the gasket delete using Permatex Motoseal gasket maker. Is this going to work or do I have to take it apart and try again on my base gasket seal. The pressure drops about 1 psi in 2.5 minutes

If your four base screws are “torqued to factory spec”, you can easily tune around that air leak. If it’s a repair on a customer’s saw, then yes pull the cylinder off & try again.

This time cut a thin paper gasket out of a manilla envelope & then lightly motoseal ultimate coat it w/ your fingertips.

Put a dab at both case seams too, before you set the gasket on & then wait 20 minutes to test after cylinder is back on.
