I broke my Foredom flex shaft. It's gonna take four days to get a replacement. :(

Welp I reckon I could remodel some more.......

Put it up on the "other swap" thread you can get something good for it. But seriously that sucks now you got to pound nails.

if you stop beating your flex shaft so hard it wouldn't break,, you need to go to the er and have a cast put on it:hmm3grin2orange::hmm3grin2orange::hmm3grin2orange:

Did you break just the inner flex drive? If so ,go to the parts store (Napa or etc.) and get some speedo cable and make a new one.

That wouldn't work because of the way it attaches to the motor. I do like the way you think though.

you can borrow mine for a few days if you need to.

Thanks Terry. You're a good friend. I forgot that I gave Wiggs a HF knock off of a Foredom. He's sending it Priority Mail in the morning. Heck......I could use a break for a couple of days. :msp_thumbup:

got any broken cutter files?!?!.....

EDIT - put some go-juice into the 600 this evening - gonna give it a work-out tomorrow AM!

Sounds MEAN!!

Fist time seeing that yellow thing in the sky in a week!

A hi speed1/8th in air grinder works real well get one at Harbor freight. I use air grinders all the time to modify stainless steel extrusion tooling as well as chainsaw engines. They don't use that much air and ones with front exhaust keep the work surface clear of chips while grinding. You can also get 1/4 in as well.

If I could run a rt angle handpiece on it I would be all over it.....

I have a spare shaft in the shop...learned to keep one when I was a jeweler! I'll be glad to next day it to you.

Thanks Neal. I'll have one on Tuesday.

Man, you guys won't let a fellow rest a couple of days at all. :msp_biggrin:

They do make them in right angle. A company called Falcon tool has them as well as every kind of abbrasive and cutter that you can imagine. Just thought you would like to know.
