I have a Stihl 026 Pro chainsaw and want to buy an aftermarket cylinder kit. I see that bailey's has them for $99.95. They are a chrome plated cylinder - not NiSil coated. Does anyone make a NiSil coated aftermarket for this saw? If saw where can I buy one. Also have any of you used aftermarket cyl kit for the 026 - where did you buy it and did you have good results? Thanks for any comments or suggestions.

For the record, the OEM Stihl cyl kit is too expensive for me, I won't be buying it...

Thanks.

I remembered reading nikasil in the Baileys catalog so I looked it up. Some are chrome including yours and I prefer the nikasil also. Be nice to know from someone running one how they hold up.

If Brad doesn't (try him first), I might have one more OEM Mahle set left. PM me if interested.

Also, it's not "chrome" that's really the issue - it's how it's applied and exactly what it is. Same with NiSi... Most Stihl OPE has been chrome for a long time. For example - the 361 is chrome, and even the 056 had both types during production.
