Any special pointers for ripping chain

This is the sharpening thread isn't it?
did a search, read the threads,

I've got WoodlandPro 30RP Ripping Chainsaw Chain, 3/8, 0.50 92 links for a 28" bar. I figure that's about 46 teeth to file, grind, or buy new chain. I figure it needs 10deg top plate, w/ a 10deg tilt.

I've used it on about 35' of 15" to 20" maple and it could use "touching up".

I use a FOP on my regular 3/8, 0.50 chains with moderate success.

I've an NT grinder, but would just as soon hand file for now.

Any pointers to make it quicker and easier? I'm looking for solutions primarily in the shop, so getting a Granberg file jig may be in the future.

Sounds like you know what you are doing, so have at it.

I'm a grinder guy, but some people prefer to file. Whatever works for you.

Normally, ripping chain only needs a light touch up. Couple of strokes with a file, or barely grazing the cutter with a grinder.

use a vice to hold the bar and get comfortable so you can sharpen both sides equally otherwise your gonna end up with wavy crooked cuts or a lot of frustration.
