It looks pretty usable actually. But you can't really load it with anything big and that is where having a pricy mill shines. Small logs my alaskan (that cost me about $5 bucks to make) cuts up in no time and its not that much of a struggle. Its those big whoppers that you spend 2-3 tanks of gas making one pass thru that suck.. You start wondering if maybe I should spend a few thousand and buy a real mill instead of pusing this big chainsaw thru the log.

I have

The guy that builds and sells those is about an hour south of me. I was interested in something similar a couple of months ago for recovering boards from top wood left after a timber harvest and saw them on ebay. I emailed the guy and went to see it. Its OK for small logs. I actually think it would be OK for making small timbers and boards from stuff up to 12-14 inches. (Provided you had a real chainsaw:)) The only flaw I could see was the carriage is way too flexible. Easy design fix but he is still building them that way. The first ones I saw on ebay were reasonably priced. The latest ones are overpriced IMO. It does have a remote throttle and a push pole/handle. Like I said I think it would work for light use and small logs, but overpriced now IMO.
