I have 2 saws that are both supposed to be 051's. One has the 051 markings still barely visible the other does not. The one without the markings has one plastic pawl on the recoil starter held on by just a clip. The one marked 051 has 2 metal pawls with a washer. I think the un marked one is an 051 but not 100% sure. It does not have the manual oiler. It is the one I am trying to fix. Is it common to have two type of recoils on 051's? If I can't get the single pawl recoil fixed, can I change the flywheels and use the other one? Lastly, what makes the single pawl move out to engage? It is free in the slot but does not spin out when rope is pulled. Thanks in advance.
