whats going on with the ash tree's in the north east? 3/4 of the ash tree's on my property are either dead or dieing, white all the oaks, maples and locust are doing fine.

Either Ash Yellows or phytoplasma........ Hit the Cornell University Web site for more info..... I'm a tad rusty on that but the last I heard it is most prevalent in areas that where or are current agricultural site. (farm land or abandoned farm land). I think that the Leaf Hopper is the vector.

If the leaves of the Ash are distorted to the point that they look sub-compound then I belive it has a phytoplasma. Phytoplasma was once called MLO.

The last I heard there is no treatment for it although it can't hurt to fert, mulch, and water it!
