Hello guys,

Today had a discussion about fuel. Here in Europe there is Aspen, a special fuel for chainsaws that claims to be better for your machine and also for the enviroment.

http://www.aspen.se/Files/PDF/Productsheets/Engelska/produktblad1_ENG_NEUTRAL.pdf

Some guys say it's the best, other say you better mix your own fuel.

Do you guys know this fuel? Do you recommend?

I have a new saw, and hestitating to start using this fuel. Are is it better to mix own fuel?

Regards,
Floris

i have been told that aspen is best. esspecially when starting out in a brand new saw.you can switch to regular gas with no problems...BUT...when you switch back to aspen after running regular gas for a long period of time (or short maybe) the saw will self destruct because of the cleaning abilities of the aspen fuel to clean up ALL the impurities left behind because of running regular gasoline.

here's a video that tells a little about the difference

the material being dropped into the gas/aspen is styrofoam. which is used to show how gas eats up some materials.
