Been seein' a lot of this guy lately...
I know it's a bit off topic...but he was hangin' around my wood pile if that counts

Only time I see bucks is during rut...and then they're moving on a mission so fast I never have time to get my camera, get it turned on, and take the photo before they're gone!

My dad lives in Montana and usually gets a herd going through his yard quite often. When that first started happening years ago, he was SOOO tempted to shoot, but he's in a neighborhood, so he was tempted to start bow hunting. Probably a good thing he didn't succomb to the temptation, but he could have had LOTS of meat.

As a kid I grew up eating lots of venison as my old man was an avid hunter. He'd go to Wyoming every year and bring back deer and moose meat. Been many years since I've had any...

I like seeing them here as well. Don't hunt them, just like seeing them.

Coolest deer I ever saw was camping down in the Keys, a whole little walt disney family group walked out right next to me and stood there staring, like five feet away! It was almost unreal, just so improbable looking. A buck, doe and fawn. The buck was *maybe* two feet high including his rack. Dang cute. Kinda sorta like pygmy goat sized.
