$200??? A 24" woodsman pro is $113 and the comperable oregon bar is $46. Your numbers aren't in the same league. Woodsman pro bar rails are harder than the others - resulting in less wear. If I get some extra cash, I intend to get myself one and see how good they REALLY are.

I have a woodsman pro, woodsman carver bar and it has Cannon stamped into it. Many say that cannon makes a very good bar, although expensive. Maybe their normal bars are not made by cannon but my 12inch dimetip is. If they all are, then I guess they are pretty good.

Cannon makes all of our WoodsmanPro bars. What I tell most people that are considering purchasing one is. If you frequently bend bars, this isn't the bar for you. They'll bend about as easy as any other bar but, when you try to straighten the side that was compressed will crack because of the triple heat treating.

Justin, Woodsman Pro chains are Carlton -MOSTLY. There are a couple of exceptions.

Kennsem, Carlton Bars and chains compare very well to Oregon. Chains have slightly harder teeth.

You run across Cannon bars on ebay occasionally . But I haven't found a chart for their bar numbering system.

I would like to see that also. I had a guy call me this morning and ask about chains for a Cannon bar. He gave me the numbers but they meant little to me as I have never seen a application chart for Cannon.

I've used cannon bars for along time, there have been a few on this site who say they are junk, my feeling is they got a bad batch, cause I've never had anything but good cutting with them, rails stay tight and level for a longer period of time, Used the oregon prolite and it needs to be dressed frequently.

Cannon has a bar mount application guide but, nothing with drive link counts on it. For Husqvarna and Stihl you can use the counts in our catalog for the Woodsman Pro bars.

That helps as I never thought about using the catalog to determine the DL count.

Cannon Numbering System

The Cannon part numbers actually mean something.
There are 5 parts to each #
Example:
CSB-H1-24-50-3

THE CSB IS CANNON SUPERBAR. A SINGLE RIVOT TIP REGULAR CHAINSAW BAR.

THE H1 IS THE MOUNT , H1= HUSKY S1= STIHL S2= BIG STIHL (088) AND WE HAVE A C1 MOUNT WHICH WILL FIT ALL SMALL HUSKY AND STIHL SAWS. A UNIVERSAL MOUNT.

THE 24 IS THE LENGTH IN INCHES.

THE 50 IS THE GAUGE OF GROOVE. WE MAKE 050-058-063 FOR CHAINSAWS.

THE LAST NUMBER IS THE PITCH. 2=325, 3=3/8, 4=404.

THE BLACK WOODSMAN PRO BARS AT BAILEYS ARE CANNON BARS. WE ALSO MAKE ALL THEIR BLACK WOODSMAN PRO CARVING BARS.

I HOPE THIS HELPS

THX, DAN
